Rex Vector comes to the snow-covered mountain. However, his detector is taken away by a snow wolf named Lightening, who serves as the guardian of this sacred place. Rex uses his weapon to defeat Lightning and continues his way ahead. He encounters another two guardians, Windchaser and Thunderbolt, who try to stop him. However, they are also defeated after a fierce fight. They have no choice but to destroy the path to the Crystal Peak. The two guardians fall off the mountain and Neva comes to save them. She is quite weak and disappears after saving their lives. Seeing the white bear with his own eyes, Rex believes the legend is true and returns to the lab to get his weapon. Vick, Carly, and the bears see the wounded guardians. They tell them why they are here, and get a keepsake from them. They take that with them and set off to find Neva.
