Bramble cannot find his brother Briar when he wakes up. He only discovers a letter on the ground together with some footprints, traces of fight and scratches on a tree. Bramble thinks Briar must be kidnapped so he goes to Vick and other animals for help. They follow the instructions on the letter, overcome the required tasks one by one, and finally come to a house. They get up the courage to break in and are surprised to find that it’s their old friends who are inside. It turns out that Hugo and all other circus animals move to the nature reserve and decide to settle down there. They appear in this way just to give them a big surprise.
